Dr Elizabeth Greenhalgh is a Research Fellow in the School. She is working on a study of the military command of the French First World War general, Ferdinand Foch, who was also supreme allied commander in 1918. She has published several articles on Franco-British relations between 1914 and 1918 in such journals as the Historical Journal, International History Review, Journal of Contemporary History, Journal of Military History, and War in History. Her book, Victory Through Coalition: Britain and France during the First World War, was published by Cambridge University Press in December 2005.

She has worked for many years on the international journal. War & Society, that is published by the School, most recently as editor.

Her undergraduate degree was obtained from the Victoria University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. She gained her postgraduate degrees from the University of New South Wales.
