Professional Background

Peter Balint is a lecturer in Politics at UNSW@ADFA. He has a PhD in Politics & International Relations (2009) and a B.A. (Hons) in History & Philosophy of Science from The University of New South Wales.

In 2010, Peter was awarded a five month visiting fellowship (Senior Fellow) at the Centre of Advanced Studies “Justitia Amplificata: Rethinking Justice – Applied and Global”, Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main. He also spent a month as a Visiting Fellow at CAPPE. In 2011, Peter was a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Politics, University of York, as well as in the School of Social Sciences & International Studies, UNSW.

Peter has previously taught humanities at TAFE (Sydney Institute), was a sessional lecturer at UNSW, and a Visiting Graduate Student in the School of Politics & International Relations, at The University of Oxford. As well as his academic activities, Peter has spent many years rock climbing, including the publication of Sydney Bouldering in 2001. Peter joined UNSW@ADFA in January 2007.
