Location and Map
The colloquium will be held at the National Library of Australia. The National Library is located at Parkes Place, Parkes, Canberra ACT in the Parliamentary triangle. Please view the locality map for specific directions and other information concerning parking and alternative methods of getting there.

Helen Garner, Peter Porter, Frank Moorhouse, Robert Drewe, Alex Miller, Marion Halligan, Sara Dowse, Geoff Page, Nicholas Hasluck, Michael Wilding, Elizabeth Webby, Robert Dixon, Tom Griffiths, Libby Robin, Vincent O’Sullivan, Santosh Sareen, Peter Spearitt, Philip Payton, Megumi Kato, Dewi Anggraeni, Jennifer Strauss, Anne Pender, Kate Rigby and others.
Hear these prominent writers discuss their identification with and depiction of place, region and community. The first day will be devoted to conversations among scholars and the second day to creative writers.
Registration
$A90 for the two days (earlybird rate), including lunches and morning and afternoon teas. One-day registration is also available.
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind.

Note: that the starting time on both days is 9am. Coffee available.
Accommodation
Only the Hyatt Hotel, a 5-star hotel (www.canberra.park.hyatt.com), is in easy walking distance. Others in adjacent suburbs, including Civic (the centre of Canberra), Acton (the location of the ANU) and Barton require some real exercise – or a taxi.
